April 23th-24th…The steel bridge team did well over all! The S&T construction crew built the bridge in under 22 minutes when many teams took over 30 minutes. The bridge was working beautifully until one weld failed due to the load causing the bridge to deflect over the 3 inch limit. In the end, everyone could not have been more proud with the bridge’s performance. The team learned a lot from this years competition and will apply that newly gained knowledge in next years design.
